2 Strategies That Make It Easier For Priority Pivoters To Lose Weight
As a Priority Pivoter, it’s important to cut yourself a little slack and realize that you’re a real person who leads a real-world life. And, chances are your diet (probably) isn’t the center of it.
After all, we’re all busy, and make time to eat good and workout when we can…
Heck, I still like to go out and enjoy myself, or have a drink at night, or desserts when I have a sweet tooth… And you can do all of that too when you set yourself up for success using these two strategies below:
Strategy #1: "24 Before"
You will make mistakes along your journey... But we want to try to avoid making mistakes as much as possible, and that’s where "24 Before" comes in.
We all know that trying to plan all your meals for the entire week can be exhausting, and honestly, ineffective... There will be things that happen throughout the week that are outside of your control.
But MOST of the time, you will have a pretty good idea of what your next 24 hours will look like… so take advantage of it!
Every night before you go to bed, make a game plan for the next day.
- Figure out what meals you need to eat and when.
- If you’re going out to eat, look up the menu ahead of time.
- If it’s a workout day, figure out when it makes the most sense to get it in.
Some days things will work out perfectly, some days they won’t... But if you make a commitment to plan your day the night before, you’ll find it much easier to stay consistent.
Strategy #2: "Never Miss Twice"
This strategy is especially important for Priority Pivoters... Ready? Okay, here goes:
No matter how “bad” or unhealthy of a meal you have, always follow it up with a healthy one.
When you get busy or lazy and skip a workout… Get the next one in as soon as you can. Never miss a healthy meal twice. Never miss a workout twice.
Don't let one slip up turn into a week's worth of them. Besides, you already know how you'll feel if you do that, so don't let yourself slide backwards when you don't have to.
(And remember: you don’t have to be perfect – you just need to be consistent.)
