"Keep It Lighter For Later"

But that meal isn’t what throws you off track.

It’s all of the eating and drinking "off plan" that you do around the big event that crushes your calorie deficit. 

If you know that you’re going out for a big dinner or headed to a party, keep your meals AROUND that event lighter on calories and focused on protein & whole foods.

Something I love to eat earlier in the day when I know I’ll have a big event is a “Big Ass Salad.”

I’ll throw tons of veggies and lean protein into a bowl and it’ll fill me up like crazy for very few calories. (Plus, it helps you hit your protein goals so you don’t have to worry about that later on.)

Strategy #2:

Calorie Cycling

Calorie cycling involves taking your current calorie target and having some days when you eat higher than that target and other days where you eat lower than that target.

This way, by the end of the week, you have the same weekly calorie average – and you'll lose fat consistently.

For example, let’s say you are currently eating 1,800 calories (per day) to lose weight. 

With calorie cycling, you could have 3 days per week where you eat around 2,200 calories and 4 days per week where you eat around 1,500 calories... Here's what it looks like: 

Using this strategy, you could save 2 or 3 of your high-calorie days for the weekend.

Calorie cycling makes it MUCH easier to enjoy weekend social events without having to sacrifice your fat loss goals.

Strategy #3:

Indulge & Pause

When you’re in a social situation that’s high-energy in an environment with lots of food & drink choices, it’s easy to end up mindlessly consuming calories that you don’t need or really even want.

Other people are doing it, so you do too.

I want you to enjoy yourself.

And using the previous two strategies will help you enjoy yourself without falling off track.

But after you have a meal or drink… WAIT. 

Give yourself at least 10 minutes to decide if you really want more. 

After 10 or so minutes, if you still want more, go for it.

When you "Indulge & Pause", chances are you’ll find you don’t necessarily need to get more food or an extra drink after all.

These 3 strategies will make it MUCH easier to lose fat without feeling like you have to sacrifice your entire life in the process!
