The #1 Thing To Help You Lose Weight
(Hint: It Has NOTHING To Do With Diet Or Exercise)
Unfortunately, you can be both shredded AND miserable.
I lost over 140 pounds and got my "dream body", yet somehow... I was MORE miserable than when I weighed 305 pounds.
And that led me to a discovery I'm going to share with you today.
I’m going to reveal the #1 thing you need in order to lose weight and maintain your success for the rest of your life – and believe it or not, it has nothing to do with your diet or exercise.
I want you to know that I believe in you, and that you’re in the right place.
Not only can you lose the weight you wanna lose, but you can keep it off without giving up your life in the process.
You can take back control of your life and feel comfortable and confident in your own skin again.
I know exactly what it’s like to be
overweight, unhealthy, & unhappy.
At my heaviest, I was over 300 pounds.
I felt completely out of control of my life I assumed I was destined to be fat forever.
(I even made all the mental excuses to justify it, too… It was ‘genetics’. I was prone to gaining weight. I couldn’t lose weight as easily as other people. I’m too busy to get into shape. I don’t have enough time. I don’t know where to start... The list went on and on.)
Does any of this sound familiar?
In a nutshell, here's how my fitness journey went...
You Deserve To Feel Happy & Healthy...
(And here's the unconventional way to get there.)
Maybe you've spent years (like I did) spinning your wheels, unable to make or keep the progress you've wanted...
I know how it feels!
But, fast forward to today…
Not only am I at a healthy body weight, but I’ve learned how to balance my fitness goals with my other life goals...
And I want to help you get there too, so you can stop letting your weight and your diet rule your life.
What I did was simple...
I Learned How To Adopt The
“Anti-Dieter Mindset”.
This mindset is about changing how you think about weight loss, and moving away from the idea that you have to go on a restrictive “diet” to lose weight.
Instead, it’s about adopting habits & strategies around the things that matter most for getting a lean, healthy body in a sustainable, enjoyable way.
Quick Note: There’s nothing wrong with wanting to follow a weight loss-focused diet & exercise plan. Just remember, there’s more to losing weight than losing weight. If you want to lose fat, get lean, and STAY lean, then you need to develop mental habits for staying on track regardless of what life throws at you.
I call these mental habits the “Laws of Living Lean.”
These laws form the foundation for getting and staying lean, healthy, and fit. I’ve used these laws to find the perfect balance between my fitness and other life goals, and I know they will help you too.
The first, most important law is this:
Consistency > Perfection.
See, most people have an all-or-nothing mindset with their diet and will let ONE unhealthy meal or ONE skipped workout turn into days, weeks, and months of falling off track.
The whole “I’ve already messed up… might as well keep messing up” thing.
This all-or-nothing perfectionist mindset is why most people never achieve their fitness goals. Even worse, it creates an aura of negativity around fitness – the more you mess up, the less and less confidence you have in yourself to achieve your goals.
If there’s just one thing you take away from this video, let it be this…
You DON'T have to be perfect to get the body of your dreams – but you DO have to be consistent.
If MOST of the time you’re eating on target and crushing your workouts, then you are going to see amazing results.
However, if most of the time (or a large chunk of the time) you’re overeating and skipping workouts, then you aren’t going to see the results you want.
For a lot of people, this is what happens at the end of every week… something I call the “Weekend Dieter”...
The Weekend Dieter will stay on track Monday-Friday afternoon… but Friday evening through Sunday, they’ll go completely off track. As you can see by the graphic above, one weekend of overeating can undo an entire week of staying on track!
So if you know you struggle with the perfectionists mindset, or you end up falling off track every weekend, here’s my advice...
2 Steps To Stay Consistent With Your Diet:
Step 1 – Plan your day ahead of time.
Most people have a pretty good idea of what their schedule looks like 24 hours ahead of time. Take advantage of that and spend an extra 5-10 minutes figuring out how you can plan your meals and workout ahead of time.
By making those choices ahead of time, you will be much more likely to stay on track.
But hey, life happens. Sometimes this won’t work and you won’t end up sticking to your plan… That’s okay, because you don’t have to be perfect, remember 🙂
Which leads into my second piece of advice:
Step 2 – Don’t try to fix or recover from your not-so-fitness-friendly choices with extreme restriction or cardio punishment.
If anything, that’ll push you to mess up again. Instead, anytime you mess up on your diet or skip a workout, put it behind you. What’s in the past is in the past. Focus on what you can do NEXT to get right back on track…
Plan your next meal, go for a quick walk…
You’re never more than once choice away from being back on track.
Now, this is just one Law…
There are actually 5 more Laws of Living Lean — and using them together is what creates the Anti-Dieter Mindset that helps you lose weight and keep it off effortlessly.
Going over all six laws on this one page would take a lot of time and you don’t need another bookmarked page that you never visit again, so here’s what I did...
I thought about how I could share these Laws with you in a way that would basically let me “hold your hand” and walk you through putting them to use in your life...
